ARTICLE 11 from the Catechism of the Catholic Church
The Bereavement Ministry of St. Joseph Catholic Church was created through this belief to fulfill one of the most basic of the Corporeal Acts of Mercy, namely, to bury the dead. In this ministry, members assist families that have lost a loved one and guide them through the funeral process and various stages of grief. Additional assistance is provided to plan funerals prior to death.
Volunteers meet with, comfort, and offer support and liturgical planning to those who lose a loved one through death. They also assist during the funeral in various ministry positions.
Meetings are held on the 2nd Friday of the Month in the FLC # 2.
